MG5 uses a large module cell pack solution, which improves the battery pack strength and also effectively reduces the weight of the battery pack to reach an ideal range.
Electric motor
The latest electric motor from MG is equipped with 8-layer hairpin winding technology, which ensures higher efficiency, higher power density and higher reliability.
Charging
As well as increased battery capacity, the charging capacity is also improved. A 3-phase 11kW on-board charger supports faster AC charging, and up to 87kW charging power enables the battery to be charged up to 80% in around 40 minutes.
Performance
Even though MG5 is not designed as a sporty car, it can still accelerate from 0-50km/h within 3.4 seconds! And it can reach a top speed of 185km/h.
